I am new to the stock market and I need some help understanding some things, can anyone help?

I'm doing in the stock market thing integers, see Mad Money every day, taking notes, etc. .. I want to invent some money, but I'm not investing as much as I have, I wonder if there are a number Minimum of money you can invest? a certain amount of money needed to start? When interested in buying shares, Do I need an agent? if not, how I have to do to buy a stock? The price that the population appears in the newspaper, is the price you pay if I were to buy that material at that time? If someone have any useful information or on other websites I should look at that teach you the basics you please let me know where to look.

1) There is a fixed amount, but I recommend you have $ 1,000 or more 2) Yes, you need an agent I like TDameritrade and Charles Schwab because they have low fees and good research tools 3) Do not see CNBC or Yahoo Finance search and you can see the price of a stock just search your symbol 4) Jim Cramer would recommend several books
