New in Real Estate?
I am 23 and live at home working full time and started a small business a year ago. I'ma businessman and I am willing to take my life to the next step by investing in real estate. I feel like every time custom car anywhere me what I want to avoid if I can. I live in New York about 2 hours from New York. Houses up here are 200k +, r300k or something nice. I looked in area in the south as SC, where I visited several times … Myrtle Beach, Charleston, etc … It seems more feasible, but I'm still single and only make about 40k a year in my work and maybe another 10k to my business in its first year. I have about 5k in savings. Will I even be able to make the mortgage payments? It seems a little close to me, having car insurance and gas, and groceries. I mentioned my father from an investment group, which split everything in half and split the profits when sold. Where do I start and how much should I save first?
You should not be waiting for cheap houses here in Charleston. Most of my family lives south of the large and you will not find a house there for less than $ 1 million and could be difficult to even find one under $ 2 million. Even houses in surrounding areas such as Mt. Pleasant, James Island, the West of the Ashley, Isle of Palms, etc are running over $ 250k for something that is just nice and not really fancy. I would suggest that it might seek more, since Charleston. Maybe around Summerville, SC. It is too face-up, but perhaps more on the price you are looking for. Myrtle Beach area is also expensive. My family had almost all of Myrtle Beach in a while (before the Civil War) and still have a lot of land there in the Waccamaw. I know that now houses quite expensive in that area due to the influx of Northerners moving in however, I think you might want to save a little more to buy a decent house. Not Sure what kind of work they are doing, but is looking to move the whole thing here?
