new york times blogging

I want to be a journalist y. . . .?
I recently had an epiphany of life. I want a jounalist. I have big dreams of New York and skylights, surprising parts only to return home and write simple realities of life. next semester I will start taking classes, but I started my research now. I have some questions and would appreciate suggestions. 1. I think blogs would be a great way to get my creative juices flowing but I do not trust my home computer. Is there a web site Mobile Friendly Blog I can? (But do not I have a blackberry, just a touch of T-Mobile) 2. Are there minor publications that except amateur writers?
1. Livejournal and the blogosphere are two websites that offer free blog hosting. I'm sure he has a mobile interface. Take a look. 2. If your university has a student paper, which is an obvious place to start. Otherwise, look in your local city paper (s). Do not expect to be paid at first (If you do, well that's great, but now they need experience – no cash)
