Calibrating Your Internet Marketing Mindset

By briangarvin On April 5, 2009 Under Blogging, Opinions & Views

All of us as human beings are inherently lazy. Most of us would rather take the easy way out rather than directly facing and dealing with the problems that are plaguing our Internet Businesses and stopping them from exploding. But the Internet Marketing Mindset that you need to employ is to try to consistently be aware of what’s stopping your business from making the few extra grand a month it’s not making now. And if you can’t answer that question you have a problem. If you have no idea where your business is at do something.

Employ Free Marketing Techniques even when you are broke and keep working on these until you have a bigger deal that crosses your path. This will slowly set the triggers for your long term success so no time is wasted and your success clock at least starts ticking. Even if it takes you 2-3 more years to build a great business using free techniques, and yes this is very doable, this could make a difference in the rest of your life. So always do something no matter what your situation. For example, for $10.00 a year or so and $5.00 per month you can get hosting and Start A Blog. You can pick up a great Commercial Blogging Theme from Carl Ocab for under $100.00. We use it and make money with it every day.

Now once this is all setup all you have to do is start Writing Articles and submitting them to free Article Directories. If you’re looking for content to write, visit the directories for ideas. Ezine Articles, Go Articles and Article Dashboard are very popular. You can write them yourself and your promotions are now all free. If you write content consistently and hang in there you’ll eventually see great results, but sadly enough most people quit before they give themselves a chance to enjoy success. This is an unhealthy Internet Marketing Mindset.

Make sure you slap some Free Affiliate Programs and Ad Sense on the site. This is how you would monetize it. Ad Sense is great because it will dynamically insert ads based on what you post. And the truth is after this if you wanted to ignore every guru and course out there and just write and submit content, you’d be successful guaranteed although depending on how fast you write articles it could take you up to a year to see decent results. Personally I can easily write 5-7 articles on an average day, so if you can write and submit that many you are in good shape.

When I started my Article Writing Career back around September of 2007, there was and still is actually, a lot of hype about how Outsourcing Articles is the way to go. But I can easily write 5-7 per day which is 150-210 articles a month. If you paid a ghost writer which averages $5.00 an article, that’s $750 – $1050 a month. Now if you’re starting out with a close to empty wallet, this makes all the difference in the world.

So lets say in one year you write 150 articles a month on your niche topic. Also take each of these articles and submit each one of them to the major article directories. You would have an extremely strong blog within a year and a business you started for just over $100.00. And this is a non hype business model you can follow if you are practically broke and get great results given some time. The key is to keep building backlinks to your inner Blog Pages, and over a year or two, it will eventually become an Authority Blog. People won’t believe you when you say you spent less than $200.00 to start a business that’s getting you traffic and sales every day.
