Blogs for advice.?

I'm hoping to start a blog soon and was looking for advice and suggestions. I'm not posting my name (as I will not the family / friends to find it!), but it would be okay to say the city and county where I live?

Anomyous you can keep yourself, but sometimes being honest and faithful to his readers is where he earns their trust and they keep coming back. I myself have created an online blog and show my name and some information about me. It's a blog which gives you tips and tricks on blogs. Me with my real name, I want to build a relationship with my readers. My wife knows I have this blog, but nobody in my family knows and havent are well. I guess if you think that very well. I do think I'm doing something right with driving traffic. I have another site / blog that does not show my name. Not because I want to deceive people is just a site where you can experiment with different things like adsense, information links, and different plugins. If you need help let me know.
