Can a web site to sue someone for threatening to close?
A friend of mine recently had this account with a hotspot, and recently his account was closed because of a dispute over another user who has blocked her profile. Then he made some threats about blogs trash the place until they lose business enough for the off. He later received a message from the moderator of the site of contact with his lawyer about this because they went to contact him. Can it really be sued by the threats of slender and thin as physical cash is shown to have done? If so, this will not be as bad as being sued for making a threat of death without intent to murder (just to get away with it with someone.) The only way I could see someone being sued, accused of or arrested is if they were a threat that would make a major life person (president, queen, etc. Papa) or a large number of people (the airport bomb threat) Can this really happened? The site is in the states and do not even live in the states.
Yes, you can sue for injunctive relief and declaratory judgment if someone is threatening to enforce a right that they do not have. The fact that your friend does not live in the states does not matter if someone directing their threats within the states – the threat is availment purpose and places it within the jurisdiction of the judicial authorities of the U.S. system. express no position on whether such a claim would be successful, but there are two causes of action in federal court, and personal jurisdiction over your friend easily established.
